Reflecting on the importance of creating more awareness about disasters, I firmly believe that cinema can play a significant role in this endeavor globally. Many countries face a high risk of natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, and forest fires, yet the number of films and documentaries addressing these topics is often limited. This scarcity hampers our understanding of how prepared we are for disasters and how we should act when they occur.

Disaster films do more than just spark curiosity; they also provide vital lessons and messages. For instance, while watching a film about earthquakes, viewers can learn about building resilience, survival techniques during a disaster, and how communities should prepare for such events. Films about floods or forest fires can be informative about conserving natural resources and reducing disaster risks.

Films intended to raise disaster awareness in any country should be backed with realistic scenarios and scientific data. They should guide viewers on possible measures to take in such situations and how to build a more resilient society. Additionally, collaborations with disaster management experts, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies can increase the realism and impact of these films.
